25 Jan Trip Update 1/25/26
We have been in the country for one week! It has been a whirlwind of activities and time with amazing people. Our first stop was a visit with our alumni and some of our University students in Kampala. It’s always such a joy to be with these young leaders.
We then made our way to the village and were welcomed with beautiful songs and poems.
Each afternoon we have gone to visit homes of our newest children. The ones that are sponsored have received gifts and letters and pictures from their sponsors. It’s always such a joy to be able to tell a child about someone from far away who cares about them!
The home visits are so important and are attended by all of our staff. It is a time to really get to know the stories of the families we serve.
Today we were able to attend church with one of our new families and tell the youngest child that he is now sponsored!
As always, we are grateful to everyone who makes it possible for us to be here offering hope to this community.
