Gift Days!

Each year sponsors are asked to pack a ziplock bag with small gifts, pictures and a letter for their sponsored child. The children look forward to gift day!

Yesterday we gave gifts to the group from Kateta that are reporting on Monday to Primary 6 and 7 which is boarding school.

When they open their ziplock bag and begin to look inside, they are always so excited about the pictures and the letters. The thoughtful gifts are so appreciated as well. They know the pictures we take will eventually be sent to the sponsor so we get some of the best smiles for these pictures.

Some of the children are very expressive in their joy!

But all are grateful and ask us to thank their sponsors.  Sometimes we take a picture with one of us so the sponsor can see how much the children have grown!

Their joy is so contagious and we are grateful to be able to hand deliver these gifts.  It takes a lot of administrative and logistical planning to get them all here and sorted, but these smiles make it more than worth the time and effort.  Please enjoy this series of one of our high school girls opening her gifts.
